Broken record: Abandonware is not -- nor has it ever been -- legal.

Quest for Glory is an ESA/SPA/IDSA protected game and also an abandonware game. The two terms are not mutually exclusive. Abandonia (for reasons discussed to death) no longer provides ESA protected games for download, a decision which has nothing to do with their status as abandonware. As such, it's not at all unlikely that you'll find such games on other abandonware sites.

On the other hand, having links to places where such games can be found might not be in the best interests of the Abandonia administrators. I understand what you were getting at, but "illegal" just happens to be the wrong word to use.
