Hi,
I have read all the posts on alien virus and could not find the answer to my problem. I thought it better to post here than "games discussion"

As background info
I have set the game up on C:\av and changed the cfg file to be the same path. As noted in the instructions under technical notes.

Then I ran the patch. No problem.

The problem is in Dosbox 0.60 and 0.63 I still get the error message
"can't find alien virus CD"

I have tried the following dos box configs:
mount d d:\ -t cdrom
mount c c:\av
c:

and

mount c c:\av

Both to no avail.

And when I run it in Dos or VDMsound, it begins to run, and I hear sound, but there is just a black screen. No image arises, no matter how long I wait.

Anybody got ideas?
My system is a:
Acer travelmate 230
Celeron 2 ghz
512 ram
40 gig hd
XP prof. sp2
