Wow...I remember playing this when I was small enough I needed a chair to reach the controls of the Arcade game. Thanks for putting it up.

Was one of the first games I played. Spend lots of time on this one. I can remember that this game is also kinda hard to finish. But then again I didn't have much gaming experience and was young though.

Haaarrrghhh!!!!!

This was also one of my first games, I totally forgot about it - wiped out of my memory (too much alcohol? o.O nah... it was just too long ago!!!), can't believe that I forgot!!!

I think I played it on before or around those 286...

Anyway, I totally agree with Kippesoep!!
Hard?!? It's extremely hard - well it was when I was a kid and it should be now too.
Kids plays sometimes better arcade games than older guys like us, I think...

And btw, I too never managed to pass beyond level 3 :\

I remember... I was was 7 when my brother got this game for C64 (better graphics, but the same game). He was playing it day and night and sometimes he'd let me at it too. I never even finished level 1 (should really try sometime). But I won't forget the yell my brother let out, when he finally finished level 3 - only once if I recall correctly, did he manage to do that.

Zaxxon...One of the most irritating and annoying games ever...
I can recall playing it in my 8088 so many years ago, around the copper age of PCs!!!
It was so disturbing (ok the Hercules monitor wasn't helping to distinguish among the different enemies) that i was considering a success to reach the first boss (that strange house which launches strange missiles). A couple of times i managed to defeat it and play Level 2. But that was it...
Perhaps i'm going to give it another chance, and test my reflexes as well!!!

still have this on my intellivision.

The last time I saw this game I had a brand new 286 with an Hercules Monocromathic (Orange) Display, a lot of power back then, and the game ran so fast you could barely see the walls before crashing your ship. I can't recall exactly how many years have been since, but I know for sure 15+.
