They're not "doing" anything to the games. They're protecting the rights of the companies that own the games. If a company doesn't sell a game anymore, that doesn't necessarily mean it'll want it all over the web. Think about it this way: just because you haven't played with your old stuffed toys any more since you were five, you wouldn't want everybody else to be able to open the box in which you keep them and grab them. It's the companies' right to hold on to their rights to certain games, even if the games are no longer available. We may disagree with their decision to do so, but we'll just have to accept it.
