, because this question dates back to acient Grece and is thus over 2000 years old. And it still hasn't been answered, but here's my thought:
Have you seen how frogs are born? Now imagine that slime that a mother frog lays in the watter hardened, once outside the water. Well that's the way how the first egg was made. The first animals that actually started laying eggs were probably sea turtles.

And out of their eggs hatched Michealngelo, Donatelo, Raphael and Leonardo. They then made a huge painting of Titan and he hatched the first chicken egg! :eeeeeh:
