Now, this is something I did not try in this game.

How in the world do you menage 70-80 cities? How long it takes you to make sure everything works and what's happines? Do you build all wonders or at the beggining some other civilization got some wonders?
All of my numbers were estimates, I just counted 71 cities and I have no intention of stopping. I first started playing the game when I was 4-8 years old and I never was very good, My father was the master at it I MEAN HE WAS INCREDIBLE he always had a huge empire that spanned the globe with as many as 90-100 cities . I on the other hand always had 5-10 cities I always wanted to focus on my cities and build them up, so I always lost . Then my dad gave me one peice of advice to help me play and that is THE NAME OF THE GAME IS EARLY EXPANTION. I took this to heart and my strategy is now to sell my palace (I can get masonry from a hut and rebuild it later) and buy two militia, from there I search and destroy any near by nations. Meanwhile my capital is producing settlers (and it will keep doing so until it can't support any more) I tell these new settlers to build cities which in turn build more settlers who build more cities add infinium. I leave ALL of my cities undefended (which is another great risk) After I explore villager huts and get technology and money I rebuild my palace in Roma. At this point I tell my non frontier cities to build Militia or phalanx if advailable, Imeadiataly after that I build a temple (it is VERY important to build the Oracle to keep your plump empire from rotting on the vine) My frontier cities continue to build settlers then when they are no longer boarder cities build phalanx (I know it is a terrible risk but look at my name) Don't bother with roads or irrigations yet that comes later just continue doing what you've been doing. Your cities that are building settlers will remain small so don't worry about them going into civil unrest but if they do build a temple (or another settler...) After your empire has reached it'd desired size tell ALL of your undefended cities to build Phalanx then temples then one last settler Each (if they can support it) after the settlers are built place what ever you like in your city, the settlers will build roads and irrigations to connect your bloated empire and start to consolidate your gains.

Note 1 you will be slightly behind technologically but once your cities start to grow you will catch up VERY quickly

Note 2 Develope republic or monarchy as soon as possible their increase in trade and food production will give you more taxes and higher populations. (but be careful you know what happens when they grow too fast)

Note 3 You WILL encounter other civs and If your city is undefended they will attack it without even saying "hello" Just to let you know you will prolly lose a few cities that way it is best to establish peace before expanding in that direction again (even if they are backstabbing two-faced liars)

Note 4 It Is crazy to sell your palace as no taxes are collected no research performed and corruption is rampent... If you don't want to take the risk play on Chief level and buy 1 militia with your starting money and forget about selling the palace at all

Note 5 Save your game before exploring a villager hut If it is barbarians Load it and try again :sometimes: it changes Also note the villagers don't give you a tech you're developing so if you intend to sell your palace DON'T RESEARCH MASONARY!!

Note 6 Save your game every turn or so if an opponent civilization builds a wonder you want or NEED load it (they sometimes don't build it if you load I think it is a trigger or something but not sure)

Again Im really bad at english so don't mind any grammar errors
