i dont know what kind of version did you download, niether from where. maybe its in the wrong source
btw can you hear the music or anything or its just freezed?
i would advice you to play with your core settings in dosbox.cfg and setting a different soundblaster in setup, that can cause a freeze too if settings are wrong
