Of all the games I got from abandonia so far, this is the one I've been playing the most.
I used to play the game a lot back in 90s and I have to admit it didn't loose any of it charm since then. Ok, graphics are obviously poor for nowdays standards, but everything else is still there - gameplay, exploration, quests, fun.
Unfortunately, the main fault I find in the game still stands (and why shouldn't it?

) - the lack of classic character levels or something similar that is typical for most of RPGs. What I miss the most is some increas in hit points, which here don't exist in the same way. I know that weapon skills (and all the other) increase the more you use them, but strength and endurance don't. You can buy your character the best equipment (though unless they have high strength and endurance in the first place, they will be under heavy load if you try to put plate armour on them), but when outnumbered by a group of enemies that are of above average quality, they will fare pretty much the same as they would've when you started the game. I was painfully reminded of that the other day when I tried to destroy dwarves in a mine.
I guess that making more healing potions would do the trick, but if it was a real situation, the reward wouldn't have been enough to cover the price of the potions/components.
