I've been recently trying to use the 2000 version of Smacker Tools to convert all 2,131 of Conqueror 1086 AD's Smacker-encoded video files into lower bit-rate versions. However, my computer is too fast for the application to properly execute a batch operation, even when running Smacker Tools in my virtualized, legit copy of Windows XP SP3, and all the CPU-slowing utilities I've tried, including CPUkiller, don't work or cause Smacker Tools to become unresponsive. There are three solutions I can think of:
- Run Windows 3.1 under DOSBox (unlikely since I don't think this version of Windows is freeware and I don't own any version of Windows 3.x).
- Utilize a workaround which entails overriding copies of the original files with the converted files - and manually hitting "Yes" 2,131 times.

- Ask someone else with a sufficiently slow computer (probably one which runs a legal copy of Windows 95 or 98) to convert the video for me.
If someone could please give me some tech advice on this issue, I'd really appreciate it!
