This is How I have set my CPU, what's different from Default?
It starts @ 3000 Cycles and With CTRL-F11 & CTRL-F12 I can increase / decrease my Cycles at a per 100 basis.
So that's "etc. < 2800 < 2900 < 3000 > 3100 > 3200 > etc."
This is my autoexec.
Rather Simple. My Dos dir is mounted as C:\ With a reported Free amount of HDD space of 800Mbytes. (needed to make some games work)
My actual DVD Drive mounted as D:\
And of course we want to go to C:\ When we start Dosbox.
As you can see I use " " on all Directory Paths, even when it's not exactly needed.
