in underdogs site there were a one trick that worked for me..........
if you can boot your machine to dos or if you have a dos prompt program (or just you can write in dos, might work in dosbox) you go to there and write:
subst F: C:\[the place where is your install files for LD2]
the F: can be any of the letters where you can install the LD2 from like E: or C:
just you dont have any cd-drivers or hard disks or floppy drives in that 'letter'
the subst trick cheats your computer to think that you have drive E: (for example) but its actually the C:\[the place where is your install files for LD2]
then change to that drive you chose like E:
E: [enter]
E:\[write the path of your install files]
and then run install
it should install it for good without any enter hacking'n'slashing
after you have done that go back to C: and
write subst (the fake drive) /d
example: subst E: /d
that should delete the fake drive and in next boot its ok.
i'm not sure if i did it all right... so it's on to you... no blaming back...
if you don't trust yourself or your not on your computer don't try or ask for a clearer guide.
(i think i had too much those example thingys...)
but well, here ya go!
