I don't have a floppy drive. Is there a work-around for the games that require you to boot your system from a floppy disk?

most games should wok in DOSBox.
Else you could try a bootable CD or installing a dual boot if you are really desperate.

There is always an exterior drive that your BIOS check when it boots, so if you don't have a floppy disk then you could just as well boot from a CD drive.
