It should b easy to find the english name for that (I should know it) but what's that thing anyway?

It's a vegetable we call knolselder. it's about as big as a child's head and grows in the ground. 's Got a white body, white (slightly yellow from time to time) slices can be made from it.

That, my friend, is called Celeriac... I think
EDIT: I just remembered it is also known as Celery root (celery = selder) and turnip-rooted celery

If its the right name, which I don't know, then the English word is the same as the French I think. I'm no expert on vegetables but I know the word and I think we just use the French word!
