Default Is this supposed to happen?

Heroes of Might & Magic 1, when I go to desktop settings, the lowest I find I can set it is to 800X600, which obviously isn't low enough either! Help?

Right-click the game executable. Choose Properties, then Compatibility. Then click on the checkbox next to "run in 640x480".

This problem may be caused by your monitor not supporting full-screen at low resolution. You need to set up Dosbox to use your desktop resolution by editing dosbox.conf. Change "original" to a fixed size - I recommend the resolution your desktop is using.
