Did you try to mount the CD-drive in the DosBox with the mount x x:/ -t cdrom (x - the letter you choose for the drive in DosBox and x - the letter of the CD-Rom drive) command? Without the -t cdrom addon the drive won't be mounted correctly.

I've got the same problem. This is a DOSBOX problem though, it runs fine otherwise.

If it runs slowly or jerky, try playing around with the CPU cycles emulation of DosBox. For my machine about 8000 works best.

I had the same CD problem... I know how to fix it (well maybe only in my case) i ran the SETUP and change all the audio settings to No. Then i enter the albion game and it was working. Then i changed again the sound configuration to General MIDI and to Sound Blaster and Compatibilities--After that the game was running and sound too. About the speed i had to change the CPU clycles to 8125. Good Luck. :Brain:

I got the same very problem with the CD version of Apocalypse and I think it's because of a compatibility issue with my CD-rom and the game. I never managed to make the game run properly and I tryied everything I can think of.

I actually managed to make the game run but everytime it need to access the CD (like for music or videos) it's extremely choppy. And the install program fail to detect my CD-rom properly too. But, as you might guess, I don't call that good enough to actually play it that way.
