![]() I chose Gentoo for it's compatibility and adaptibility for almost any application. Looks very good. I might try it if spmething goes wrong with Suse.

![]() Portage is a great tool. Maintaining the package database in Gentoo is a lot easier than for example with Debian since all you need is the source and a few rules. This makes the stable tree a lot more up to date than Debian's stable version. On the other hand Debian is considered more stable than Gentoo, but I've yet to see some bugs in Gentoo (been using it for 8 months now).
