![]() Went out today, bought suse linux. Before that I tried Mandrake, it's good but takes an awful lot of getting used too. I'd heard good things about Suse too, as some people say that it is more compatible with with windows things. I've just finished installing and am running firefox in linux now. I have too say that it is brilliant, definitely worth spending the money. Very Stable and easy to master. I would reccomend it.
Post your experiences here. :bleh: |

![]() I tried Mandrake for two weeks before switching to Gentoo. Mandrake was ok, easy to install and such, but I never really cared for the rpm system. Gentoo's solution with ports was exacly what I was looking for. If I were to switch from Gentoo I would choose Debian, Ubuntu or VidaLinux.
Check out distrowatch to see which distributions that are "hip" at the moment. |
