![]() hey... i need some help... when im playing strife and blood the game gets kind of "stucking" and i'noticed that is because of the sound...
and i tried to configure the sound... i guess i tried all the possibilities... but i just can't get it... when there is no sound on the game it runs perfectly... maybe you guys can help.... thanks a lot... |

![]() First of all, play the games in DosBox, which you can download trough a link from this main site. Then go into the respective install / setup programs of the games and set the sound to either Soundblaster or Soundblaster PRO. Soundblaster 16 works too, although few games gave problems to work with that setting. The adresses for Soundblaster cards are in DosBox by default - Port 220, IRQ 7, DMA 1. These should work in all games, too.
If that still doesn't help, set the music to one of the MIDI cards instead of Soundblaster. Also be sure to set in DosBox.conf the sound output rate under [mixer] to rate=22050. Higher rates can cause problems with Soundblaster setting for some games. |
