Default Guilty-CD Version Install?

Hello,

I finally found a cd version of Guilty in the web but I failed starting it.
I already installed the game to my CDrive for using it with DosBox. When I start it there are following lines in the command line:

Please ensure that the game cd is present in your cd rom drive "(ok it is)".
To set your cd drive letter, use the command line option: \d."Tried that, did not work."

I have this line in the console awaiting its order as described above:

C:\[Guilty Directory]>

does somebody know how to make it recognize the cd....

Thank you in advance

Have you mounted the CD-ROM drive in DOSBox? Refer to the readme on how to do this.

When i try i get following error (no matter what type of mounting):

Failure: Drive letter of multiple cdrom-drives have to be continuous.

What now?

Did that, typed:

mount d d:\ etc.

this action refers to the problem in my second post here.

if this helps: I changed the config file of dos box as described in the abandonia tutorial:

[autoexec]
# Lines in this section will be run at startup.
mount C C:\DOS\CDrive
mount D D:\ -t cdrom
C:
CLS

Get rid of that CLS, and look what the startup screen says.
At least you can read then if there is an error message.

Isn't the CD version the sequel, from 1995?
If it's a bad ripped ISO nothing will help you.
You can find the floppy version also on the net,-(the first one 1993)-, that one works flawless in dosbox.

It also would help if you stated WHAT OS you're on, it is possible to fine tune the CD mount, but that's OS depending.(IOCTL-XP and ASPI-W98, ...usecd ...)

Details ...details ....
Next question:When you look in Windows at your CD, does its shows a label? (CD name)....

I made it to mount D...can access the cd via dosbox and everything else, but again: this brings me back to the first post here...enter my drive letter but without success.

I know the floppy version and this one works fine but I want to see if this is the speech version of IUC2 as rumoured to be out there (iso size was 244MB so I'm confident).

****Patience, dosraider, patience .....be patient here....
Weird, most want precise elaborate answers but seem unable to answer some simple questions themselves .... patience .....

Whilst I'm here anyway, I'll add another one, did you try the excellent dosbox ISO mount?

Allright, sorry...

getting rid of the cls was a good idea and says:

Drive C is mounted as my dos directory.
Drive D is mounted as CDRom D:

so no error in with this.

OS: Win XP64 SP2

CD-Name: Guilty

Try the iso next.
Thanks so far

mount d d:\ -ioctl -usecd 0 -t cdrom

And as you mention XP64, do you are on an admin account with full rights?
If not, work in your own user folders (dosbox install also, don't use \program files (X86)\ ).
[EDIT]
nevermind that admin stuff, you're obviously on an admin account .... silly me sometimes.
[/EDIT]

And some last (but good) advise: delete your game folder now, start install again from scratch.

The CD name is ok, it's at least an indication that the rip is done swell.
