Active shareware developers & publishers from the 90's
There is a surprisingly large number of shareware development and publishing companies that began their activity in the nineties (or even earlier) and are still in business today. Some sell their games in an unmodified form, others have updated (to various extent) and/or ported their original titles so that they work on modern platforms; some have released their old games for free, and some don't sell their titles anymore but still allow to download the shareware versions. In some rare cases, the old games are unfortunately forgotten and aren't even mentioned on the websites of their respective developers/publishers.
