the game runs very slowly
I've tried ctrl+f12 in dosbox but that doesn't have any effect.

Do you hear the people talk? because I can't seem to skip the dialogue... and the dialogue lasts for a very long time.

You have to klick with mouse on it in order to skip it.
As for the speed, I increased the cpu cycles with ctrl+F12 to 11500, this is then good speed for the game, perhaps 12500 would be perfect then.

I've tried it, I think I still prefer the 7, the gloomy spirit isn't for me, and the lack of overview of quite annoying.
The animation of the PC and NPCs is quite choppy and the movement can be quite annoying IMO.

i haven't played ultima ix - assssssssscensssssssion though.. but ssssssssome people ssssssssaid that ultima ix isssssss the worssssssssst..

this is the best ultima game I've played, and I actually own it! I only got it working for my laptop...now I'll try dosbox for this computer. I still have the box and cd, and everything!
