Its called an avatar. Go to avatar options in your profile, but be sure to follow the avatar rules. =)

Instead of just closing it w/o answering his question, ATLEAST try to help him, ok?
In your "My controles" go check "Edit signature". HOWEVER... There are a few rules the signature has to comply with for estectic/bandwith and other issues. They can be found HERE.
