![]() We need more details.
What is your operating system? What error messages do you get? What is the exact nature of the problem? Does DOSBox freeze or doesn't it find the game? Please describe what happens. Also, have you unzipped the game in the oldgames folder in your root directory of your c drive? EDITED coz he posted the answers to a couple of my questions.

![]() Then I reccomend you follow the remainder of the Beginner's Guide. Using Norton Commander will help you a lot.
Oh yes, and the games are typically started with EXE files, sometimes you might instead find COM files, and occasionally you may need to run the game through a BAT file in its directory to have it work properly. |

filename (for exe, bat and com files) run application cd directory name changes directory cd.. changes directory back one level. dir lists all files and directories (folders in windows) in current directory. Navigate to the directory using the cd commands, then type the name of the application.

![]() But you need to navigate to the dos directory. Here you are in the root directory. The
Type: cd dos That will send you to the right directory. Once there, type dir That will list all files and directories in the dos directory. If the list scrolls off screen, type dir/p That will cut the list in chunks not larger than a single screen. If the game is in it's own directory in the dos directory, repeat the steps above, but swap the name "dos" for the name of the game directory. Locate the bat file, and type the name of that file.
