I remember in the C64 version back in the day what the drivers did when passing varied by driver - some of them flipped the middle finger!

Not the Power Drift I know and love.
Yeah ... computers (and consoles) of the time just didn't have the power for this game, and it really shows. It's just an utterly pathetic arcade port that shouldn't have even been attempted.
Even on it's own merits, there is nothing at all good about this port. The arcade version is fast, intense and balls to the wall awesome. The ports however didn't fare so well ... it doesn't even look like they put any real effort into it. :\ |
