There was this game I played awhile back, that I was hoping some of you might remember or have seen before. You were, I think, some sort of cart. You could use this grappling hook to raise yourself. It was a puzzler in a sort. There were gems that opened gates, and I remember one level in the game was "desperado." That's about it, thanks!

I vaguely remember a game that had some of the elements you mention, but I can't remember the name of it though. This one would be old old, as in the C64 era. It was a single screen platformer, you were some kind of miner and could pick up a pickaxe powerup to kill enemies with (only way to kill 'em I think), and some places there were a cart you could ride in across the screen. Does this sound like it could be the same game?

No, I think you WERE the cart, not riding one. In fact, you were always the cart, if I remember correctly. I think it may have just been a free game on someone's website long time ago.
