I'm writing because I have problem with sounds in these three games.
I don't know what's the problem
When I'm launching one of these games I hear music, but sounds are off.
I can't turn them on. I tried DosBox and of course VDMSounds, and nothing.
Is there any configuration, that will help me to solve this problem? :wallbash:

maybe you just picked wrong soundcard and adlib is playng your music?
in sounds configuration pick "sound blaster"

If the setup program asks you for IRQ, DMA and Adress:
IRQ 7
DMA 1
Adress 220 h
Also, use the "Sound Blaster" setting only when there is none for Sound Blaster Pro / Pro II / 16.

I tried, but it did nothing

Open up Dosbox.conf and look for a line that says sbtype=sb16 . Change sb16 to sbpro2

if that fails, let me know and I'll try to get it running myself.

It works! But there's another little problem, maybe you know the answer.

I have Alone in the Dark in CD's versions.
When I try to run it on DosBox I see the black screen, and that's the end.
When I use VDMSound everything's works but sound effects.

I made a configuration that you wrote on the Alone in the Dark 1 downloaded from this site.

I hope I write clearly.

The problem is that I want to run Alone in the Dark 1,2,3 CD Versions with sound.

Do You have any ideas?

Are those on CD's or copied onto your HDD?
What commands did you enter in DosBox?

I have iso's but I burned them.
I tried on iso's and also on burned cd's, effect is the same.

I entered:

mount i I:\ -t cdrom

First of all, the CD-ROM mount in DosBox should have the first next letter after the last hard drive mount.
Try mounting it as D and then running the game.
