How about adding a pinned topic,where every forum member can introduce and tell about themselves. It would be nice and interesting.

We basically have too many pinned topics already, and our experience is that people introduce themselves anyways - mostly in 3xblah.

Which brings to another question: is it possible to merge two or more similar topics into one?

yup, it's on the mod options menu for threads. it's not usually worth it for pointless duplicates unless there's useful things in each thread - before that point it makes more sense just to close one.

It can be done, but all posts will be sorted chronologically, which means that if you merge two fairly long threads which were created at about the same time, they won't make any sense unless you know which post used to belong to which thread.
