![]() I remember this game. Pretty fun as I recall, but as pointed out, the training sessions are next to impossible with a keyboard. Too bad...

![]() I had this game and loved it - it was a really cerebral fighter. You had to think about which moves to program into your fighter (and it really makes a difference, its not just different animations for the same effect, they're totally different moves with different hitboxes and different timing) and then in the ring you had to choose your moves carefully, time them carefully, and also watch out for your opponent because in the spirit of proper ring sports a single punch or kick could take you down and out if you walked into it the wrong way. It's tough too, working your way up the chain of opponents is a real learning exercise at every stage.
If you've got time to spend getting into this game you'll love it. My memory of owning it was playing it a little then getting frustrated and going back to IK+, then coming to give it a bit more time and patience and really getting deeply hooked. I'd happily rate it as at least 4 stars, and after IK+ my second-favourite Amiga beat-em-up. |

![]() This game has "childhood flashbacks" all over it. I used to challenge my uncle and cousin to matches of this game over and over and over (losing every time, of course) on their Turbo Grafx.
Ah, Turbo Grafx... you and your flimsy, flimsy cartridges... I look forward to learning a thing or two! COMMENCE THE DOWNLOADING! :Titan: |

![]() Pwent, i think Best of the Best is the sequel... but i could be mistaken.
Anyway this game was so great! The only one-on-one fighting game i ever spent hours playing hehehe About the leveling up... i would only train my reflex and resistance, since i never knew how to train strength ( :help: how can i lift that damned weight?)... so i would use combats to raise that stat. Anyway, lots of fun |
