Having seen so many great paintings (mostly made by TheGiantMidgit) created only with simplest graphic editor made me think that I have to try it too so here are my first experiments with MSpaint.
The first one is... ehm... a beautiful view  and this is me... if someone wanted to know how am I look and didnt think of checking my profile - here it is :bleh:  |

Love them both... although I think they might look better if you used a proper paintbrush instead of the spray, then follow up that and shade them.

If you mean the "eruption" - mostly by invert brush which I discovered as a powerful tool to make awesome mosaics and I've added some lightning effects. However, I do not remember exact technique.

looks sorta like the big burning eye in LOTR... or maybe a strange nuclear explosion thing.
