Is anybody listening to Rammstein, I just love them, they are original, their songs are great, and have simple... yet inteligent lyrics.

Because I haven't heard any original ideas in their lyrics, neither did they bring anything new in music wise. They make good music, but it's nothing un-heard of before.
Explain what did they contribute that is original? |

Well maybe not THAT original.
I admit I can't express HOW original are Rammstein, maybe out there are bands more original than this... I thought at the word original that they sing all their songs in German (except an english version of Du Hast ), that through their lyrics they expres SOMETHING on this subject I must ask some friends of mine that were completely changed by their music (like a guy who once listened Gypsie music now is listening only Death Metal and this only because of Rammstein who changed him) Few bands can impress me like this, Personally I would like to listen Rammstein before I die ( a slower song, that is). |

Oh ! I'm just stupid, what I wanted to say in that words that they sing in German instead of English, many people listen and love Rammstein but they don't know german to understand the songs. You don't need to understand german or any other language to love that music.

That goes for a lot of bands...
Actually i'm a big fan of Rammstein. but they are kinda original too... do u hear metallica singing about Sailors and Moscow? Not many bands sing about Snow-white(Sonne) And the thing about combining Techno and metal is kinda new. |
