Start a website for donations to buy out and close the ESA or control it making it so that the only website that can legally use esa games is abandonia!

Well, it may be interesting to simply find out, how much would a copyright for a game cost...
I know that for books the numbers are extremely high. When I was in the editing eam of the student press at the Uni we were trying to get some books translated. And we'd have to pay over 1/4 of a mio dollars for a completely unknown book (that wsn't even selling succesfully). I'm wondering how much the Indiana Jones games would cost (if you wanted the copyright for them). |

I very much doubt the ESA is for sale. Even if it was it would cost many, many millions. Anyway, the ESA don't own the copyrights, they just enforce on the behalf of the companies who own the copyrights. If the ESA was bought and they no longer protected the copyright of the games, they would be breaching their contracts with the companies AND the companies would then just use some other copyright protection agency.
Bad idea on many levels. |

Heh yeah right and even if it were possible somehow I doubt the ESA would allow itself to just get bought out.
