Ok well, there was this old RPG i used to play, where you start off and your home town gets invaded, the character is displayed as only half a guy with blue underwear and a sword. he looks kinda like Conan. well you move with the arrow keys, and hours go by when you move, or something. One thing i definately remember correctly is when you're poisoned, you usually die, you can rest, but sometimes you dont make it, and when you die it brings you to this tombstone with your name, when you died, how old you were, and what killed you. Also, you can keep castings spells and go into negative mana, which after a while will kill you.Thanks for anyone who knows what I'm talking about ^.^

Definitely sounds like Castle of the Winds.
Edit: Mobygames screenshots - not much, but you'll recognise it if that was the game you played. |

Yes, the controls are a mess. The game's quite fun, though, despite the childish graphics.

Unless it been changed recently, CotW never been abandoned.
Edit: It seems you're right though. The oldwarez list link to a page in which the author is distributing the game freely. This mean that it should be hosted on AR insted of AB too. |

i know this is an old thread, but this game is truly nice. I looked with the search engine and in both unsorted, strategy and rpg but didnt see it. it is freeware now (http://www.exmsft.com/~ricks/), so np there
