Thumbs up

Hi,

Whenever I try to install CF, it just restarts my computer. I get as far as telling it to install to C:/Cannon Fodder in DOS... and then when I press enter, it restarts. :/

Does this happen to anyone else?

Any help will be much appreciated,

JR

As a general rule of thumb you do not need to install any game coming from this site. They are already fully installed within the archive and are ready to run. Only a few rare exceptions exist and this game is not one of them.

If you want to change the settings of the game you can run the install.exe and then go to "configure" but reinstalling the game is usually impossible and is a good reason for a crash.

You must start the game with cannon.exe.

Question

Hi,

Thanks for your reply - I was running WinZip in Wizard mode instead of classic so it wasn't letting me extract, just install :/

But now when I run the .exe you said, I get a little intro screen, and then DOS telling me that there is not enough "Base memory"...

Would it be easier for me to just d/l DOS BOX instead of using MSDOS?

I'm using a WinMe system, so could that be why a lot of games don't work?

Thankyou,
Jagjit Roudh

Read this thread. It should answer your question in detail.

And I strongly suggest that you get DOSBox too.

Closed for several offense on this one.

1. This is not a chat, it's the troubleshooting section which is used to help people to run the old games on this site. If you want to talk to that user in particular, create yourself an account and send him a PM (Private Message). What you posted could also be considered as (low) spam.
2. Do not ressurect old threads from the death for no reason. Usually people tend to resurect old threads to "continue" them for their own purpose, but on this case it really serve no purpose at all.
