![]() Do you know the problem of having a newer PC running under DOS,
and whenever you want to play a certain game, it rushes so fast that it is unplayable? If you know any solutions to this problem, please put them here. |

![]() There's a way in options of the game to set it on the right speed, you just find it and choose MEDIUM SPEED PC. Then it works.

![]() well some game will run fine. Some won't. It all depends on the way their timing is programmed.

![]() But there are some utils, such as Moslo that will slow down your CPU, resolving some of those issues.
There's some info on SpaceQuest.net about setting up a DOS pc. It deals with older hardware, but a lot of this is true for newer hardware as well. |

![]() What's the point of running new hardware with DOS at all when you have DosBox?

![]() Much more as a matter of fact. With my 1.3 Ghz proc I'm unable to emulate more then say a 286. With my pentium 166 on the other hand, I dont't have to emulate at all!

![]() Hey, I don't have anything against having a pure-true-DOS old machine with sole purpose of bring used to play games, but it makes little sense to me to run a 1,3 Ghz computer under true DOS just to play old games. That's all.

![]() The problem is that it isn't considered wasting time when you do that, holding in check the amount of crap that is coming out these days.
