Ok I got DSL with 2 gigabytes of monthly limit, and I didn't really notice the bandwith consumption when I was on 56k, but now I see that only surfing the forums can consume a lot of it, and that mainly goes on avatars, or little buttons, which is already stored in temporary internet files...
So is there a way to not download all of the content of the page, but only the one that has changed? I thought that IE does that but it doesn't(at least not now), so please if anyone has any suggestions, I would be delighted!
Oh I use MYIE2 for web surfing, that operated on IE core...
(And please don't give me advice p2p netwroks and such, because my question is mainly about browsing)

And stop surfing around.

You can FireFox with ad-block to detect most frequent ads.

Also, there should be some settings on how often browser will check for updates for web sites. Adjust that.

I surf around as much as I had with 56k, that's the point!
Ad-blocking is a part of MYIE2(AFAIK it has alll the goodies like Firefox has), and I have turned of signatures, but I don't want to turn off Avatars, the main question was that I don't want to lose comfort, but am asking is there a way for those saved files not to be downloaded again...

Wow that's a small amount of usage you can use, even for DSL that's small.

I can use more but I'd have to pay it more, it's enough for surfing though, I don't need to download movies or some other huge content, I just want to surf more comfortably...

It does work better with FireFox. There are many small extensions that you can add, but if needed, you can turn off all images while browsing.

You could have done that with MYIE2, as I said it had all the goodies of firefox, except caching! It seems firefox caches the page, so the bandwith consumption is halved :w00t: ...
I'm sticking with firefox although MYIE2 is pretty much the same(yes there are special plugins and sklins for it too), and I wonder why it wasn't more popular especially in times before firefox...

Cheapest DSL here is 8€ / month for 0.5 Mbit, 12 month plan

20€ / month (2 gigs included) + 2€ for every 512 Megabytes downloaded above that, speed is 384/64(kilobits), I know it's expensive but Deutsche Telekom is in a monopolistic position, and is much hatred here(as every Croatian would agree with me), but thst's for another topic(I could write essays about that)...
