![]() I'm here because I'm alive. If I wasn't here for more than 2 weeks, that means I'm dead.

Besides, it's raining. Now there's a disco across the street, but the nearest one that's any good is 18Km away. :tai:

![]() Well... I didn't mean that as an offense.
Personally, I'm against such parades for a simple reason: It leads to discrimination. Humans are already mean by nature. They need labels and they need to put other down in order to feel well. With all the stereotyping, rivality and racism around, I think we don't need any more reasons to increase those. In a concept of equality, I don't agree with a "Gay Pride" anymore than I would agree with a "Straight Pride", simply because it's labelling yourself. Be proud of who you are, not what you are, because you're ultimately a human being. In a society with no racism or discrimination, such things like Gay Pride would have no reason to exist. By doing that, you're playing according to the rules that were created against you. |

![]() I think Gay Pride is a great thing!
The first Gay Pride in Iceland was 4 or 5 years ago. Since then, tolerance towards gay people has increased significantly. Homosexuality is considered "more normal" than before. Straight people have not had to fight for their rights as a being. Gay people deserve to celebrate for how far in the battle for rights they have come. It's not a victory yet, but sure is a reason to celebrate. And I believe this is getting off topic. |
