I don't know why you're so upset, but do you really hate the majority of the people here ? If so, then leaving seems a reasonable decision.

As for the admins protecting a mysterious person, please be more specific since we are all mad with curiosity by now.

Since Abandonia is one of the most polite and friendly forum i've encountered, i must say that i'm quite puzzled by such a violent reaction. I'd hate to see a long time member leaving, more so if it's a young one, since the mix of old&young members talking (and not lecturing) with each other is one of the main appeals of this site for me.

So i'll try a peace approach :

Please, try to cool down, admins on this forum are NOT abusing their "power". Having been recently banned from another forum, i can guarantee that "admin abuse" exists, but Abandonia is not one of those sites. If one member on this forum is a problem to you, just ignore him, don't urge for him being banned. And don't throw a tantrum and leave because everything doesn't turn out like you'd want it to. Unless you are more specific, it seems like you are making a big deal out of nothing. It would be a shame to leave because you're upset, but if you do, know that some will miss you. At least i will.

If you don't tell us the exact problem, there's nothing that can be done to make things better, which makes it useless to rant 'bout it. So either tell us what exactly the problem is, who's causing it, why and how, and things can turn for the better, or don't tell us, stop making a fuzz 'bout it and keep things the way they are.

it's more about who is banned than it is about who is "protected."


this has been argued several times in the past, and it is pointless to push the issue further as the admins are always right even when they are wrong.no matter what I say, nothing will change others have complained, and it only got them in trouble for it simply because people did not like dissent

Look #Alex#, now you've lost me too, I simply can't make heads or tails anymore, so let's go through this slowly:

1) There is somebody who got banned, but shouldn't have.
2) There is somebody protected by the admins (And you feel should have got banned months ago).
3) You're leaving because some people are protected while other are banned.

Do you wish those protected people to get punished?
Do you wish those banned people to return?

Did somebody (except the upper remark by Sean) hurt you and no-body reacted to your complaint?

I have voiced my opinions to the admins. Nothing has happened. I was basically told that he has as much right to be as I do. I don't believe thzt to be true at all knowing he broke all the rules freefreddy did and more and was not banned. The who ever was wrongfully banned is aa blanket term that covers several people. Not just 1 person. If you don't know who Im refering to then don't try. This was just a goodbye thread.

One of the best thing with PEOPLE running a forum is, that they can decide on case-to-case basis (something I'm very fond of). If it were a computer deciding - then every breaking of the rules would be treated the same, but now the human factor is involved. And when this happens one thing is very importaint - MOTIVE!

I guess it all comes down to the motive, as to why the rules got broken. Little harmless fun or intentional decieving of people are two completely different things. So I guess it all depends what has happened.

And as to trying to understand - off course people will try to understand. If you're serious, that there is a problem, it should be talked about and get sorted out. Otherwise this thread will really be nothing else then an attempt of drawing attention to yourself.
