Probably one of those two:

1) you moved the repertory or renamed it after you've run the reg file or
2) you are not using the right file to start the game. You must use the one with 2 "plasters" on the icon, which is because it's the patched file.

1) nope in the same spot since i downloaded it

2) yep thats the file im clicking on and it is still not running

A quick look at the download later, I think you really should update this to 2.5 Beta 1...

What with 3 years and a couple month's worth of new features.

Anyone who can tell me how to build monorail tracks? I don't see it as an option, although the computer is building them like crazy. I even bought a competitor to try to get access to the build option, but no go.

Use the same buttons you're using to build (regular) railroads, but instead of left-clicking them, you have to either right-click them or keep your left mouse button down while dragging the mouse cursor down a bit so that a drop-down appears (been quite some years so I'm not sure which one of both is correct). This will give you the choice between railroad and monorail.

I just downloaded and tried to install/run Transport Tycoon deluxe. I can't get it to do anything. I am assuming that since it says it's for Windows it should run without a third party program? I am using XP. Thanks for any help

I recommend reading the review before you download a game.
Look at the Installation Instructions on the download/review page of this game, or in Readme.txt in the game archive
