Don't think it's the same with IPB. I use InvisionFree (ie. IPB with free hosting) because I don't have the server space for my own forum and I'm registered as member no. 1 on mine!

Member number 1 is probably the original username that the forum was set up with. I set mine up with a username I didn't want and then registered myself as member no.2 before I realised I could edit no.1!
