empire interactive is dead and the official publisher's of ICC website is not selling, or even mentioning the game on their website. i do not think we should consider stores with leftover copies to be considered as a valid source. we do not concider cdaccess or amazon copies neither...

i contacted the game publisher who holds the rights to the game for an info on this title.

in the meantime
still [APPROVED]

However Russ, the game is still sold as part of a compilation which is available for purchase, so I'd consider, until proven otherwise:

[SOLD]

really? why don't we remove every game that is sold on amazon or cdaccess then?

or are you going to suggest considering those again too? what a revolutionary updater we have

Not at all, however, I consider Gameseek to be quite like Play.com and the like, they are reputable sellers who have the games which they sell as new and as a result, this falls under the [SOLD] banner.

We are counting Gameseek at the moment, so Oak's assessment is correct.

Stores with leftover copies are still legit, unless proven to conduct some sort of shady (or downright illegal) business practices or scam their customers.

Sales of second-hand copies are not going to be taken into account. The mistake we made with Amazon once will never be repeated again.

Hi Mike,

We don't have any versions of 2000 any more, unfortunately the only way you will be able to get this is either off of somewhere like eBay or possibly Play/Amazon.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Empire-Inter...170770&sr=8-16

However, I honestly have no idea if this would work with Windows 7 or even Vista, I think it works on XP, but I can't guarantee that.

Hello,

I was looking for one of your games called "International Cricket Captain 2000", but i was unable to find any info on this game anywhere on your website

Is this game not published anymore? Do you nkow where could i buy this goodie i used to play with my friend a long time ago?

Regards,
Mike
so when you realize it's time to move on and dismiss leftover copies from gamestores like cdaccess or gameseek we're good to go, because the publisher doesn't care about it, nor support it, anymore

Thank you Nigel,

i will definitely try to look on e-bay amazon or so. But however, i'd like to ask, who holds the copyrights? I would like to ask them if there is a slightly small silly possible chance that they will re-release the game or something.

I know that chances are minimal but it's worth a try

Cheers!

Hi Mike,

Chris now owns all of our IP rights, and given our publisher of ICC2000 went in to administration last year, I'd imagine any versions they had would have gone to the administrators, for what little value they had. I know previous people have asked whether we'd release the older versions on freeware, the simple reason we haven't is I understand we don't have anything older than 2005. In fact, I might have an version of ICC2000 at home, if I can find it, I can give it to you. Are you UK based?

Kind Regards,
Nigel Stilwell

so did i get something wrong or he's telling me that they didn't release older versions as freeware because they don't .. have it?
