That happens in Windows XP. Are you by any chance trying to play the game in it?
The game is compatible with DOSBox, VDMSound and Pure DOS.

Haven't tried it yet but... try right clicking on the executable, and choose the 'compatibility' tab. Try Windows 95. That works for a lot of older games.

what are the controls to this game? It is said they are confusing, so perhaps someone who KNOWS the controls should post them so I can actually play this game instead of just walking around in circles

how do you switch characters? What does the freaking magnifying glass mean? is there a short cut to the actions and invtentory in the "action bar"or what ever? Cuz it really sucks walking around with half of the screen cut off
