![]() It was like a crappy generic fighting game. Fighting with a weapon was useless, which was why I just launched spell after spell no matter what class I was. Spells were overpowered and melee was too weak and dangerous. It sucked out all of the skill involved in fighting from the previous games. QFG4 definitely has the best story though and some great voice acting and atmosphere.
QFG1 is the best all around game in my opinion, though. It had a nice variety of quests and areas. That reminds me. Does anyone else have the problem where purple colors bleed through the stats screen at night in the VGA version? I'm guessing it's a palette problem. I played the Mac version back in the day and don't remember that problem, so I don't know if it's a problem with the DOS version or a DosBox emulation problem. It's very annoying though. |
