Btw, does the game decide randomly which zombie you try to revive? I mean, if there's like 70 zombies there and I try to revive one and turns out that it has brain rot, and I try again, do I just waste the syringe automatically on the same zombie?

Same with the DNA Extractor, it there's lost of zombies and I hit one that's been scanned already, is it of any use to try again to get a fresh one or will I just waste the AP then? Wouldn't need much work to test and figure this out, but I haven't yet cared to risk to waste the AP, so I thought I'd ask first if someone has tried.
