While official sites already would have long ago dropped them in favour of games that are new today, such games still could be found on Abandonware sites. You don't find now old Commodore 64 titles on some official sites of the company that created them, do you? But there're fan sites that offer them for download along with all the additional stuff like reviews. For the same reason abandonware sites will still remain in their important role. Sure, less people would be visiting them, that's inevitable, but there're always people who're interested in history. And less doesn't necessarily mean worse. Abandonia had once tighter community before it became so popular as now and many new people began to join. |
