What is your problem? You're not helping me at all - it seems like you are just trying to prove that WinRAR is the greatest thing in the world.
Following Fifth's advice, I was able to recover the original file before I moved it to the laptop, no thanks to you and your ever so useful posts. Instead of 'testing' out a bunch of CRAP just to prove something to me you could have gone and actually tried to help fix the situation.
