4 party members in Might & Magic 6, I meant That's the maximum you can have there, maybe in earlier games of the series you can have more - I didn't play them yet so I don't know.

Heroes of Might & Magic series is the round-based Fantasy Strategy relative of the Might & Magic RPG series. They've been both made by the same company if I remember correctly, and continually shared the same world and story, more or less. For example, Might & Magic 6 plays approximately at the same story time, simultaneously, as Heroes of Might & Magic II - Succession Wars expansion, and Heroes of Might & Magic III continued from Might & Magic 6, respectively.
So they're all part of the same Fantasy world and story, with more or less the same monsters in either series.
