Oh ya for sure, I agree that Hayden did a much better job in 3 than 2, much much better.

at least it would have stopped them from nearly getting romantically involved (although in the time honured lucasfilm tradition that means looking at each other and smiling)

The kiss was harmless she was confused about her feelings for Han and was annoyed at him because he was going to leave them on hoth (I can't remember if it was at that part or on Bespin for him taking them to Lando, but it's not really important when it was). It was a message for Han to get his act together.
