Just finished the CD version of the game. It was really fun, but too short

I have some questions:

Are thought I could remember a screen, where a displayed the enemy casualties after using a nuke. I have seen this game about 8 years ago, so maybe I am wrong, because I havent seen such a screen in my game. Can anyone tell me something about it?

Is there an alternative way to finish the game? Maybe by planting plants everywhere?

What exactly is the effect of joining fighting troups. Do they get a morale bonus? What exactly means ''agressive attack'' and ''fight for a whole day''.
