I'm almost 100% sure its MDK? The hero is a janior and there is the quirky professor and the robotic dog. Plus, big arenas and big tanks, etc, so all the stuff Serious Sam later copied!

3.2 If the person who currently holds the turn does not post anything in 48 hours (in this thread) anyone can clain the turn, unless that person specificaly sates the time when he wil be back, in which case turn can be claimed at that time

if i were to be asked, but I can't find the source, so it's not really official (allthough no other proposal hasn't been made as of yet).

EDIT: and since I'm sharing my view of things anyway, I bleive we should let holyman have the dibs on the turn if he wants it (after all, his answer fits all the clues we have right now)
