I remember playing this game when it came out (I actually bought it and still have the original CD with the jewel case and booklet - God knows where the box went). It was one of my favorites, especially among turn-based strategy games because of the simplicity of the gameplay and the straight-forward gameplay. I also had a blast configuring all the mechas to have the perfect unit with the perfect armament. I think the games weakest point was the limited amount of mechs (which were pretty similar overall) and the fact that it didn't get too complicated as it went along, which was sometimes good because I only wanted to get my mind off school and such things. I was 17/18 at the time so the Manga WP were a welcome sight too !

This game is pretty good, IMO. Then again, I bought the 2 OAVs before even hearing about the fact it was based on a game (though the lack of a tangible plot should've tipped me off). It must be my love of mindless, repetitive violence I guess.

Now,did anyone ever search for power dolls on the web? try power dolls 6 in google... or this:

http://www.kogado.com/html/usagi/pd_map.htm

i wonder why the sequel ain't been made in english...
I have played Power Dolls 2 and It really rocks.
(it has something like multiple ammo types, remote scanners, mines, grenades, Mechs size taken into account, etc...)

ps: this game's difficulty level has been rated as "absurd" among my friends... you know why.

Just started playing this game... after 3 or 4 years since I got it (didn't work on my old 486 for some reason). All I have to say - WOW.

It's like if one put together UFO: Enemy Unknown and Battletech, mixing that with manga style graphics and some neat mecha designs.

In fact, I started writing a strategy guide.

Now you say there are sequels... and none of them in English?
No fan-made translation patches?

I really want to understand what you're saying here. What are easter gamers? And what does "cuted off of english" mean? Does this mean there is a greater or lesser chance of seeing this game translated?

Lot of japanese games that never will come to english.
A different example are the german´s games that most of time got an bugged english version.
